Another busy week ! The children have really impressed us with their first homework of the year researching about the Romans - well done and thanks for your support with this. In Write to Shine today the class have written their 'Escape from Pompeii' stories in the style of the book we are focusing on. They have used lots of exciting vocabulary and enjoyed learning about Pompeii at that time. One favourite activity in Science has been looking at the difference between magma and lava from a volcano, and trying out a comparision how a mixture of icing sugar and water react in the fridge and in the classroom.
Mrs Walton has taught the class some songs for the music festival in March, when the class will be performing an individual piece - the singing was lovely! We have also been practising our school song ready for our very special visitor next Wednesday - remember to learn the words off by heart!
Next week we will be learning about explanation report writing about volcanoes and Shape, Place Value in Maths. Well done to our stars of the week: Y4 Ana Y3 Charlie for always following instructions first time being super role models in every part of school life!
Have a great weekend!
