Geography Curriculum

Geography at Styal, allows our children to learn about places around the world, and what life is like for the people living in different countries; giving them the passion to want to know more. Geography has the power to broaden children’s horizons and open their eyes to the world. We want our children to leave school with ambitions of travelling to new places and experiencing new things. We want our children to love our planet; understand their responsibility to care for it and be globally responsible.

We are very lucky with our surroundings at Styal, so we take our children into the local environment whenever the topics allow. We have worked with the National Trust on various projects and have had our work displayed in exhibitions at Quarry Bank Mill.
