Hi here are some of the comments about our favourite learning this week:
Jack "I liked drawing the different types of lines.in Maths."
Neve "I loved RE because we could write about our special place."
"I finally used commas in my writing in English so I liked it!" Jude C.
Olliver H "I liked playing rounders in Golden Time!".
Well done to all the children who wrote in a newspaper style all about 'Back in Time' week - they certainly learnt a great deal more about Styal and the Victorian era. On Tuesday we all really enjoyed a taster session on Cricket - see some of the fun on photos in our gallery. Next week we will be starting a new book to help us with our narrative style including writing a diary and a story. In Maths we will be learning about Measures including co-ordinates, closely linked to our Geography local study of the area.
Swimming has now finished on Tuesdays so Mrs Brown will be working with the children on map reading around the school and local area,,as well as some work in Forest School.
Well done to the following children for their special achievements this week:
Y3 Chloe for working very hard with 2D shape challenges
Y4 Alex had great ideas and vocabulary choices for his 'Back in Time' Newspaper report
Musical performances: Chloe and Ana both confidently played solo pieces on the piano and keyboard in Celebration assembly today -well done !
Have a great weekend and see you all next week
