Friday 6th July
Date: 6th Jul 2018 @ 3:14pm
Well another brilliant week of learning - the children are working extremely hard! In Maths they have enjoyed different measuring projects from smarties to smoothies! Every group managed to make a large smoothie calculating how much of their 5 a day it included and making sure that it was cheaper than a well known brand, afterwhich they enjoyed the fruits of their work! In English the writing has been inspired by the book 'The Egg' with some excellent ideas on 'How to keep a dragon safe', as well as writing instructions for a dragon on 'How to Duff a Knight.' Tuesday the children thoroughly enjoyed the Circus skills - well done some great hoola hooping! Remember our Summer Gallery is egularly updated to show you some of our wonderful learning.
Special mention to the following children for Headteacher's award in celebration assembly:
Y3 Olliver Hartley for his excellent handwriting and sentence work this week
Y4 Jamila for her excellent hard working attitude at all times
Evie, Izzie-Rae, and Chloe have bought cakes in and sold them with the help of Jamila. They have raised approximately £58 for Cancer Research! Big well done and thanks particularly to Evie's mum for helping to organise and oversee the sales.
Next week we will start narrative writing in English linked to 'The Egg' and continue with measuring skills in Maths.
It is Sports day on Thursday afternoon so please remember your child needs a t-shirt of their house colour
Lyme = green Capesthorne = Blue Tatton = red Quarry Bank = yellow (Styal PE tshirt!)
Have a great weekend see you all next week!
