Happy half term break!
Date: 17th Feb 2018 @ 11:40am
Hi
Class 34 have worked so hard over the half term - a very big well done for all the effort in all their learning - lots of detailed writing about the Romans and really working hard in their number knowledge - especially being able to explain the maths they are doing!
Thanks for everyone that came along to watch us perform our poem 'Rumble down, tumble down' in the celebration assembly yesterday - we have been totally absorbed in volcanic facts surrounding the story of Mount Vesuvius. This week we made our second mini eruptions outside and Lucy got to use her model volcano she made at home!
In PE we learnt about doing lots of different types of jumps, improving our techniques and encouraging each other - one of us noticed - 'Oliver really supported Evie so they worked as a team!'
Some important notes:
PE has changed this half term to Monday afternoons with the Sports Coach - please remember outdoor kits!
Music Festival - Thursday 15th March - tickets will be on sale after half term - more information to follow
Homework (set and returned for Mondays): after half term English homework will focus on practising cursive handwriting linked to the current spelling patterns, as well as learning the words of the songs for the Music festival off by heart! Song words can be found on the webpage if you want to get a headstart! Maths homework remains the same.
Finally well done to our stars of the half term:
Citizenship: Y4 Lucas always been a super role model Y3 Kyla for her calm and caring attitude in all she does
Progress: Y4 Isla for her hard work in Maths Y3 George for working really hard in Maths
Excellence: Y4 Millie for super work in Maths and English Y4 Oliver T for excellence across all areas of learning
Have a great half term !
