Year 1/2 in March
Date: 8th Mar 2019 @ 1:26pm
This week we have been learning our timestables, to make this super exciting our Year 2's now have access to Timetables Rockstars, where they can play and practice their timestables.
We used a book for our maths learning this week called Sheep Won't Sleep, it was a great tool to help us count in jumps and complete repeated patterns.
In our Literacy we have been learning how to catch some terrifying pests such as giants, dragons and even trolls! We have created a set of instructions for anybody else who may need to catch these beasts.
Yesterday was World Book Day - we had some amazing outfits from Asterix to Mary Poppins. The children made a great effort and it was lovely to hear about their favourite stories. We also got to share our reading with the Year 4's.
In Topic, this week we were finding out about where our food comes from. Did you know avocadoes are from Peru and potatoes are grown in Ireland.
Have a lovely weekend!
